
With a career rooted in the belief that growth starts with people, Cathy Waddell has built a dynamic path from a part-time clerical role at Cummins Facility Services in 2012 to her current position as Director of Marketing, Business Development, and Employee Relations. Throughout her journey, she has led transformative initiatives that strengthened both business strategy and company culture, including founding the Marketing Department and launching Cummins Cares, the organization’s first structured employee relations and training program. This program now delivers role-based training, leadership development, and recognition initiatives that enhance employee engagement and retention. Cathy also previously served as Director of HR & Staffing, where she successfully guided the organization through the COVID-19 pandemic by implementing policies that ensured compliance, continuity, and connection.
In her current role, Cathy oversees marketing, business development, and employee relations, driving the company’s expansion from a regional provider to a national and Canadian service partner. She leads strategic efforts to grow client relationships, strengthen brand impact, and foster a positive workplace culture, while integrating AI-driven tools to improve efficiency and results. Beyond her professional work, Cathy is deeply committed to community impact. She is the co-founder of EmpowHER, a nonprofit addressing period poverty and women’s health awareness, and the founder of Psalm 139 Ministries, which provides free prom dresses to young women. She also supports Rhema Academy by leading marketing and brand development efforts, reflecting her passion for building people, growing businesses, and creating lasting impact.
