Ronyale Smith is the Founder and CEO of Blak Koffee, a Louisville-based specialty coffee company dedicated to creating exceptional coffee experiences while fostering community, connection, and economic opportunity. Since founding the company in 2022, Ronyale has grown Blak Koffee into more than a neighborhood café. It has become a vibrant gathering place where coffee, culture, and business intersect, creating opportunities for entrepreneurs, professionals, students, and community members to connect, collaborate, and thrive.

Before launching Blak Koffee, Ronyale built a distinguished career spanning more than two decades in public health, healthcare administration, strategic planning, and organizational leadership. She earned a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University and a Bachelor of Science in Health and Human Performance from the University of Louisville, graduating magna cum laude from both institutions. A certified Project Management Professional and Lean Six Sigma training, she has successfully led large-scale initiatives in quality improvement, operational excellence, change management, and community engagement.

Throughout her career, Ronyale has been recognized for her ability to build strategic partnerships, develop innovative solutions, and lead organizations through complex challenges. During her tenure with UofL Health, she managed and led critical community vaccination initiatives that mobilized hundreds of volunteers and community partners while helping improve access to healthcare for Louisville's most vulnerable residents.

As an entrepreneur, Ronyale has combined her business expertise with her passion for community impact. Under her leadership, Blak Koffee has expanded its footprint in Louisville while becoming known for exceptional customer service, quality products, and meaningful community partnerships. She is deeply committed to supporting local schools, nonprofit organizations, and small businesses through mentorship, sponsorships, donations, and collaborative initiatives that strengthen the community. Her belief that businesses should serve as catalysts for positive change is reflected in every aspect of Blak Koffee's mission.

Ronyale is also a respected speaker and community advocate who regularly shares her experiences on entrepreneurship, leadership, strategic planning, supplier diversity, and the importance of representation and intentional community engagement. In addition to leading Blak Koffee, Ronyale serves her community through numerous civic and professional organizations. She is a former Louisville Metro Human Relations Commissioner, a licensed Kentucky real estate agent, and a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
