On May 28th, 1963, Joan Trumpauer Mulholland was pulled off of her stool by an angry mob and dragged outside of the Woolworth’s in Jackson, Mississippi. Years later, when asked what she was thinking at the time, she replied, “Get back to the counter.” Life and work brings us a myriad of challenges which also present opportunities.
